Our Story

PurpleCV’s story began in 2012, when founder Andrew Arkley decided to share his 15 years of experience in the UK HR and recruitment industry.

Andrew - who has extensive knowledge of UK employment law - had reviewed tens of thousands of CVs. He knows what makes a successful CV and vowed to provide clients with an impeccable service at an affordable price.

Word started to spread and PurpleCV began to expand, soon becoming a leading name in the UK CV writing industry.

PurpleCV now write CVs for clients across the globe and our team boasts recruitment professionals, employment experts and qualified career coaches and counsellors.

He has personally reviewed countless CVs (over 10,000 and counting) and continues to use his expertise to help the team craft perfect CVs for our customers.

Andrew has been featured in articles on CV writing for magazines such as Marie Claire and The Independent, and as an expert in the field is continually sharing his knowledge through online publications.

He is an active member of Career Directors International, The Institute of Leadership and Management, Institute of Directors and PARWCC, and is a Certified Interview Coach (CIC), Professional Résumé Writer (CPRW), Digital Career Strategist (CDCS) and a Volunteer Business Mentor for the Prince's Trust.

As the director of the PARWCC’s Certified Curriculum Vitae Writer (CCVW) programme, Andrew is now leading the charge in setting a professional standard for the entire CV writing industry.
