Many people see the term FTE while carrying out a job search and may even apply for the role without really understanding what it actually means.
The term FTE stands for full-time equivalent. It measures working hours against a standard full-time schedule.

A 1.0 FTE means one full-time employee working the organisation’s standard weekly working hours. Two employees working half those hours each would equal 1.0 FTE combined.
